This is an all levels yoga class designed to help strengthen muscles, bones and joints; improve flexibility; build stamina; relieve stress; and provide mental and relaxation benefits. Small hand held weights (optional) will be incorproated into this practice.
Improve range of motion of the joints by improving muscle flexibility.
Increase the amount of synovial fluid in the joints to keep them moving smoothly. Without enough synovial fluid, joints tend to grind, leading to joint pain and arthritis. Tendons and ligaments tend to function significantly better as a result of a yoga practice. Not only can yoga improve the functioning of joints in healthy people, but it can help to reduce symptoms of tendonitis.
If you miss a class, you are welcome to make it up in any of our other classes, as long as space allows. Classes must be made up during the 8 week session. You are welcome to join a class at anytime.
